In July 2006, Harold Henderson had a Rootsweb website that had all of the information here and then some. By 2015, it had disappeared. On 17.08.26, he appeared in Family Tree DNA's Family Finder (I'm not sure why - he had not done any DNA testing), with email address librarytraveler@gmail.com .
Robin Kate Henderson (1974) maintains all this information on worldconnect.rootsweb.com as 'robinkate'. 2007.11.04.
Where a death date is given like ">2005," that doesn't imply the person has died. It just means he was known to be still alive then.

Robert was born in Scotland, somewhere other than Midlothian. He lived in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. His occupation has been described as a) cabinetmaker; b) joiner; c) joiner and cabinetmaker; and d) builder.
Robert and Margaret married March 1826 at St Cuthbert's in Edinburgh.
Wikitree shows a very similar person - Robert Henderson born 01/27/1801 in Alva, Scotland, which is just a few miles from Edinburgh. He had a son Robert. But this Robert married Jane McMillan in 1827 in Alva, so is not the same person.
There is another Margaret Henderson with the same birth and death years, born Sutherland, who had a son Robert.

Robert had no middle name.
Robert was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, died in Chicago, IL. He emigrated to the United States in 1880, shortly after the school at which he was English Headmaster shut down. His children and sister followed in April 1881.
He was an English teacher and later an editor. The US death index reports his occupation as "manuscript reader".
He had a farm near Ocheyedan, Iowa in 1885. He moved to Chicago ~1893 to work for a publishing company.
Elizabeth was born in Barry, Angus, Scotland and died in September 1877 of an infection related to childbirth. Oral tradition reported by Harold Alexander Henderson (1948->2005) to Bryan Douglas Henderson (1963-) says her death spurred the emigration of the family.
Robert and Elizabeth married 1866.07.26 in Edinburgh.
Bryan Henderson 1963 has a book in 2023 that is inscribed "To Bob Henderson from Uncle Tom and Aunt Christina, April 1881, which matches Robert's birthday.

Robert also remembers being told he died in his 20s.Robert fils was a clerk in the Dunsmuir coal mining concern on Vancouver Island, which is a well-known subject in BC history. You can visit the mansion Dunsmuir built in Victoria with the money he made. Dunsmuir was also famous for preferring to hire fellow Scots for his business, so I imagine Robert got wind of this, wrote him a letter saying, "I'm Scottish and can read and write", and was hired to work in the office. Then immediately died of TB, possibly from being around the poor people who actually dug the coal. (Or not; TB was everywhere in those days. Could have been the train ride out, could have been anything. But since no-one else in the family got it, my guess is it had to do with his particular circumstances.)
But 18 seems very young for all of that. The photo we have of him clearly shows someone older; college-age at least. So I don't think that figure is correct.

Florence was born in Yorkshire, England, immigrated to the US (New York) in 1882 on the ship Servia (departed from Liverpool), and died in Seattle in 1948. Another source says born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England and lived in Brewery, Grosvenor St, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Buried next to Thomas. Thomas and Florence were married in Chicago on 10/16/1895. Florence's parents were Walter Dyer (1849/1850-?) and Emma Spencer (1848/1849-?) and siblings were Walter E, Ernest A S (1877/1878), and Eaton (1878/1879). And maybe also Leonora Emma, Louise (later Nevitt), Miller E, Agnes, and Hilda Marie. In 1910, she lived in Portland, Oregon. Walter Dyer and Emma Spencer were born in Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire, England, and lived in Brewery, Grosvenor St, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in 1881.

He attended the University of Washington and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Journalism after being dropped once for low scholarship and later readmitted. His first job after college was editor of the Goldendale newspaper. He worked for the Jaycees, Kentucky educational television, and two jobs at the State of Washington. He died in Olympia at 11112 Duckabush Ln.
He married Deborah on 09/20/1958 in Bremerton, Washington (license issued in King County, WA).

Elizabeth Davidson's (1838-1877) parents are Thomas Davidson (1792-1865), auctioneer and appraiser, and Mary Johnston (1800-1882).
Thomas Davidson's (08/28/1792-1865) parents are Walter Davidson (~1767 - <1865) and Helen Mathewson (also Mathieson, Matthewson) (02/22/1764 - <1865). Thomas was born in Stow, Midlothian, Scotland (per baptismal records).
Thomas had brother James.
Walter's father is Walter Davidson, born 1693.09.21 St Cuthbert's, Midlothian, who married Elizabeth Anderson.
Helen was born in Prestonpans, Midlothian. Helen's father is James Mathewson (<1752 - >1792) and mother is Isabel Atchison (1743.05.13-1784), born in Haddington, East Lothian.
Mary Johnston's parents are John Johnston (<1773 - ?) and Mary Stewart (<1776 - ?). A Mary Davidson, born Oct-Dec 1882 died in Barnet, Middlesex in 1882. A Mary Davidson, born 12/22/1800, died 11/09/1882, was born in Harrison, Virginia, so not likely the same person.
Mary Stewart's father is James Steward (<1741 - ?). Her mother is Alison Ramsay (<1744 - ?).
There is another very similar Robert Henderson that we saw on Geni in September 2020. It's possible information about one of these was inadvertently taken from records of the other. The other Robert Henderson is estimated to have been born between 1836 and 1896 and lived in Kings County, New York. Our Robert Henderson was born 1834 and lived only in Scotland. Both Roberts were the son of Robert and Margaret, but the mother of ours was Margaret McCrae and the mother of the other was Margaret Scott. Both Roberts had siblings Janet, James, Margaret, Isabella, and Alexander. But the other Robert also had siblings David and John, which ours apparently did not. The other Robert had a rather different set of children. The other Robert was married to Agnes, whereas ours was married to Elizabeth and we have the marriage certificate to prove it. The record for the other Robert was maintained on Geni by Nancy Ellen Ruscitti.
There is also a Robert Henderson born about 1835 whose wife was Elizabeth and had children Janet, John, and Robert. He was born in Hollandbush, Stirling, Scotland, and was living in Kilsyth, Stirlingshire in 1891. In spite of the similar names, he is unrelated.
